Jawi House a
different kind of place located along a historic road, formerly called 'Malay
Lane', in George Town. The early Muslim communities here were the Orang
Tanjung ('people of the promontory') or Jawi Peranakan (locally born
Malay-Muslims). Peranakan is a Malay word which means 'locally born' or
'indigenous' and refers to the offspring of Indian, Arab, Turkish and Persian
migrants who married local Malay women. Jawi is a term used by Arabs to mean
"Muslims of Southeast Asia", in particular Malays who used the Jawi
Arabised script, since the 11th to the present century.The Café offers
delightful meals, fusion Jawi Peranakan foods gourmet sandwiches, colonial
and Malay cakes, tarts and pastries, crumpets with ground and locally brewed
coffee, gourmet and local teas and a variety of signature drinks, associated
with the Jawi Peranakan culinary traditions of Penang and Malaysia. An
experience not to be missed.

So… as I you
can see the overall customer review about Jawi house cafe gallery are
satisfying except for this one review who are probably had a misunderstanding
but I saw that the manager of Jawi house cafe gallery solve the problem in a
quick way to prevent any bias or negative thinking about their cafe. Other than
that, it is a very unique places as it is located along in UNESCO heritage
area and of course the cafe itself shows a unique site of malay cuisine and
the environment is good for someone who loves to explore something heritage
and cultural like that…

best spot for breakfast..Lots of choices to fulfill your appetite.
Best
breakfast place in Aloq Staq ever! Way cheaper price than KL. Cekodok is my
all-time favorite. Makan panaih panaih.

Some of
the reviewer were not satisfied with the services as they claim there are out
of space and the condition of their kitchen are unsatisfying. It is because
of the crowd and they are busy I think making the roti canai. So.. they
should probably improve on this part.
