What is Nasi Ganja all about? Introducing the famous and ORIGINAL Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah or better known as Nasi Ganja!For the unordained; Ganja is the Malay word for Cannabis! Goodness, will I be addicted to it? Is it legal?? These are some of the conversations overheard when one mentions this. However, there is no illegal substance used in the recipe (phew). The term was coined as the proprietor of Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah’s built up a slew of die-hard fans, claiming his cooking is so tasty that it is as addictive as ‘ganja’ or cannabis.

Unfortunately (or fortunately to some)  there are those who claim that after a full Nasi Ganja meal, you will feel sleepy akin to a trans like state. Truth is, who doesn’t after a satisfying meal? As Malay people call it as nasi ganja.. Indian called them Nasi vanggey. This place is another good landmark of 1Malaysia spirit. You can find all races eating here enjoying Indian style nasi kandar with drinks served by a Chinese kopitiam!

Food taste was so so. Seems like nasi kandar. But cannot beat penang nasi kandar and always the best. Restaurant to crowded must open more table outside if posible. Very difficult to get parking.

Overall food was just okay, they say their Ayam Merah is fantastic but for me it’s average, if you crave for nasikandar better drop to Penang to enjoy mouthwatering curries.

Fried SpicyChicken Recipes: Nasi Ganja
One chicken chop 4 @ 8 @ 12
2 tbsp turmeric powder
2 small packets of Curry Chicken
1 tbsp coriander powder – optional
1 tsp fennel sweet – optional
a pinch of salt and sugar
3 stalks Curry leaves dimayang
5 cloves shallots *
5 cloves garlic *
1 inch ginger *
1 inch galangal *
3 stem of Lemongrass *-dimayang nipis2 before blend

How to Make It
Blend all ingredients right *
Then mix all the ingredients and rempah2 into a large bowl and. .. make sure the batter and coating of the iisi keenly chicken properly and. ..
– When well blended spices tu dah all enter the chicken, flat gaul2 and. .. marinade at least 3 hours ... If the longer again nice sbb more nice. I love the marinade overnight, ... Can then be fried with fire nice slow medium.. Fire wrong control betul2 ye, so fill out the chicken on the inside can cook balanced ... more. If tak control fire well later spice chicken menyaluti tu yg yg will quickly turn bitter taste charred and.. so forget ye. by taxi.
